Happiness may be difficult to measure, but it is one of the most telling indicators of how people truly experience life in their own societies. For some nations, it reflects prosperity and security; for others, it is a mirror of hardship and struggle.
Each year, the World Happiness Report releases an index of countries that measures their happiness and puts them in a particular order based on their well-being. In 2025, 147 countries were ranked.
