Drunken or impromptu weddings in Las Vegas may be a favorite of comedy screenwriters, but it is, of course, perfectly possible to get married in Sin City. Whether or not you go the whole hog (hire an Elvis impersonator to officiate the ceremony, hold the reception at a fast food restaurant, etc.), choosing to get married in Vegas is a definite statement.

After 20 years of waiting for the right moment, Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck got married at Las Vegas drive-through chapel in the early hours of Sunday morning, July 17. Lopez shared the happy update in her newsletter 'On the J-Lo,' saying, “Stick around long enough and maybe you’ll find the best moment of your life in a drive through in Las Vegas at 12:30 in the morning in the tunnel of love drive through with your kids and the one you’ll spend forever with." She revealed that their wedding march was played on a bluetooth speaker as the passed through the "tunnel of love."

Lopez and Affleck were one of the biggest "it" couples of the early 2000s, but they broke off their engagement in 2004 before they could walk down the aisle. They shocked fans with their reunion in 2021, almost 20 years after they first started dating. As Lopez said in her newsletter, “Love is beautiful. Love is kind. And it turns out love is patient. Twenty years patient."

While some people may find the idea of eloping in Vegas horrific, to others it seems like a pretty great, if not the best, option. Stars are no different. Check out this gallery to see which celebrity couples got married in Vegas
