Before they became the shining bright stars they are today, Hollywood's elite had to find a way to pay the bills like the rest of us. Though it is difficult to picture them as mere mortals, some of the biggest A-listers once scrubbed toilets, wore ridiculous costumes, or even tamed lions for a living.
But FKA Twigs has found divine meaning in her old, seemingly meaningless pre-fame job. The British singer-songwriter recently teamed up with Dutch fashion brand Viktor & Rolf to be the face of their new perfume, Good Fortune, and she revealed to InStyle that before her career took off she used to sell another Viktor & Rolf fragrance at a retail job in England.
"Years ago I used to work in a department store and [sold] Flowerbomb," Twigs said. "I've always found an affinity for the brand." She added of the coincidence, "Everything in life is kind of meant to be and you sort of follow the signs, do your best with everything that's thrown at you."
