Carrie Underwood mourns loss of her dog who died on Grammys night

Pets are part of the family, so it's natural that we mourn their loss as if a member of our family had died. This can be even more painful when our beloved animals suffer a tragic, sad death. Indeed, this is the case for many celebrities, who have lost their pets in unexpected and sometimes horrific ways.
Carrie Underwood was actually having a great night in Las Vegas, winning a Grammy for Best Roots Gospel Album for her album, 'My Savior,' but she came home to a terrible shock. The country star shared on Instagram April 4 that the night prior her dog died.
"Last night my sweet Ace left this world," Underwood captioned a series of photos of the pup. "He will forever live on in our hearts and be forever missed. He was there for me when I was on my own trying to figure out life when it was at its craziest! He was with me through 3 houses, 6 tours and 2 kids…always ready to snuggle and play…through all the highs and lows," she continued, referencing her and husband Mike Fisher's sons, Isaiah and Jacob.
Of the late dog, Underwood concluded, "He was a true friend and a good boy till the very end. I love you, sweet Ace…see you on the other side."
