Ace Frehley, the founding lead guitarist of Kiss, has died at 74. His family confirmed that he passed away peacefully on October 16 in Morristown, New Jersey, surrounded by loved ones, following a recent fall.
Frehley, known to fans as the “Spaceman” or "Space Ace," helped define Kiss’ glam-rock era with his fiery solos, smoke-shooting guitars, and cosmic stage persona. Bandmates Gene Simmons and Paul Stanley said in a joint statement that Frehley was “an essential and irreplaceable rock soldier” whose legacy will remain “forever part of Kiss.”
