When it comes to pizza, less is not more, and more is not enough. From party pies to hangover slices, delivery pizza is a gift to the world—and we are forever grateful. The California-based chain, Big Mama and Papas Pizzeria, have taken your favorite Italian treat to a whole new size with The Giant Sicilian.
Dubbed the biggest delivery pizza in the world, this 4.5 by 4.5 sq ft beast is big enough to feed a small village. The chefs start by rolling out 28 lbs of dough, then adding 5.5 lbs of marinara sauce, 5.5 lbs of mozzarella cheese, and 3.5 lbs of pepperoni. Next comes the tricky part, to bake the huge pizza evenly. It must be rotated in the oven every eight minutes. Once it is perfectly crisp, it goes in the custom roof-top pizza holder that sits atop the delivery car.
Big Mama and Papas Giant Sicilian pizza feeds 50-70 people, and is cut into 200 square slices. It must be ordered 24 hours in advance.
