About 58 million pounds (around 26.3 million kg) of corn dogs and sausage-on-a-stick products are being recalled across the US because pieces of wood may be embedded in the batter, the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) has confirmed. Tyson Foods is recalling State Fair Corn Dogs on a Stick and Jimmy Dean Pancakes & Sausage on a Stick after multiple consumers reported injuries.
Consumers in possession of the recalled goods are urged to throw them away or return them. To determine which products are affected, consumers should check the product name, use-by dates, and other information published by the Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) and Tyson Foods. Packaging should also display establishment numbers EST-582 or P-894.
