At least six people were killed and many more injured in the collapse of a multistory building on July 4 in Karachi, Pakistan. Rescue efforts are still ongoing, but they are considered difficult due to the position of the building, which was situated on a very narrow street, impeding the use of heavy machinery. Nearby buildings have been evacuated as a precaution.
Unfortunately, such incidents are common in Pakistan. However, even in places with stricter safety standards, buildings sometimes collapse.
