- Warren G. Harding was a seasoned whiskey drinker, even though his tenure coincided with the beginning of Prohibition. Harding was known to drink whiskey in the White House during poker games, and he even stashed a bottle of the hard stuff in his golf bag as refreshment before he teed up.
