A major fire has erupted in a Southall, West London warehouse that may contain fireworks. Around 150 firefighters equipped with 25 fire trucks are currently battling the blaze in what the London Fire Brigade (LFB) calls a “major incident.”
At the moment, there are no reports of injuries or casualties. The fire started at around 9 am local time.
Operations are prolonged because of the alleged presence of fireworks, which keeps firefighters at a distance. As a precautionary measure, a school and a block of apartments have been evacuated, and nearby residents have been advised to keep doors and windows closed.
