Hilary Duff is one of many celebrities who chose to give birth at home. She gave birth to her third baby, Mae, on March 24 of 2021. A few months later she felt ready to share some intimate photos of her home-birth experience and speak about it on Instagram. She chose to have a water birth at home and was surrounded by a select support team that included her husband Matthew Koma, her mom, and her doula. Going through the process for the third time, Duff seemed to have gained insight into what she needed to get through the birth: "For me to feel safe during birth and get to where I need to go, it’s crucial to have the right support system. The perfect amount of space, counter-pressure, humor, stillness and people that support my power."
