Norton struggled somewhat with veteran movie star Robert de Niro. "He's not a storyteller, or very verbal," recalled Norton. "He's a benign presence. The last time he started telling a story—he went on and on. We were all leaning in, willing it to be amazing ... then he finally went, 'why am I telling this?' Nobody had an answer. We cut it."

But De Niro is not alone when it comes to awkward guests. It turns out the cast of the 2018 movie 'Ocean's 8,' including Sandra Bullock, Rihanna, Cate Blanchett, Helena Carter, and Sarah Paulson, also won a place in the show's "boring" category.

"I felt like the guy driving the bus on a hen party. For 45 minutes people were talking over each other and laughing ... They were having a great time but the audience was nonplussed," Norton remembered.

Jimmy Fallon -

Jimmy Fallon also rates Robert De Niro as one of his worst guests. The reason? The same given as Graham Norton. "My first interview ever was Robert De Niro. In real life, he doesn't even talk much... He came on, and he was Robert De Niro — one-word answers. 'Yup.' 'Nope,'" Fallon recalled.

Oprah Winfrey -

Oprah Winfrey has had her own TV show since 1986, so it's safe to say she has hosted thousands of guests over the years. While Oprah is no stranger to A-list guests, it turns out her worst invitee was not a Hollywood celebrity. Instead, it was a lawyer who went on the show to promote his book. "He mentioned the book 29 times. That's after I started counting," Oprah said.

Winfrey, however, has experienced many other awkward situations over her extensive career. One of them was with Tom Cruise. The actor could not stop talking about his then-girlfriend Katie Holmes. He got so excited doing so, that at one point he grabbed Oprah's arms and started waving them!

Jon Stewart -

Jon Stewart's host behaved so badly that the TV host banned him from 'The Daily Show.' We're talking about the actor Hugh Grant. Stewart still recalls him as his worst guest to this day, "and we've had dictators on the show," he said.

Following the event, Hugh Grant took to Twitter to apologize for his behavior and even agreed with the Stewart's decision to ban him from 'The Daily Show.'

Conan O'Brien -

Of all the guests this famous TV host had on his program, 'Late Night with Conan O'Brien,' none was as bad as director Abel Ferrara back in 1996.

According to O'Brien, Ferrara just bailed on him. "He ran away, got on the elevator, and was out on the street running away," said the TV host. The story goes that the director then returned to the studio and allegedly started yelling at O'Brien.

Wendy Williams -

Unlike other TV hosts on this list, Wendy Williams had to deal with a more delicate situation. According to Williams, a guest touched her inappropriately, but she never revealed the person's name. "You all saw it but didn't say a word. And I felt it and I didn't say a word. My staff saw it, and that guest will never be here anymore. He's not relevant anymore, anyway," she said.

Scottish TV host Lorraine Kelly has been in broadcasting for over 35 years, and has met a fair share of peculiar characters throughout her career.

But Kevin Spacey was one of the worse Kelly has encountered thus far. "He was horrible. Just very arrogant. I didn't like him at all," Kelly confessed.

Another personality was veteran actor Harrison Ford. "I don't think [Ford] particularly liked the movie that he was promoting, and he just wasn't really happy," Kelly said.

The late Larry King also had many difficult guests, but none worse than Phyllis Gates, wife of the late actor Rock Hudson.

Gates was every interviewer's nightmare: she would give one-word answers and failed to engage with King at any time. "I look up at the clock, I'm four minutes in. I got another 56 minutes to do with this woman, who has nothing to say," recalled the legendary TV host.

Leno has no problem in underling the fact that he wasn't too interested in having the original star of 'The Bachelorette' on the show, Trista Sutter.

According to Handler, British comedian and actor Russell Brand was a pain to deal with, and for that reason she wouldn't want him back on the show. "He stopped all of our production schedules because he needed three espressos before he could even come on for his interview," Handler revealed.

Handler was equally uncomfortable with a 16-year-old Justin Bieber flirting with her on her show. The Canadian singer went as far as asking the TV host out on a date.

"I think she was in a bad mood that night," said Ferguson about the singer. "I don't think she's a bad person ... and I was very new and I couldn't handle it," he confessed.

But Rose is not alone. Actress Debra Winger was also a difficult guest on the show. "You know what's weird about Debra Winger? We really did connect, and during the commercial break, she kept saying, 'You know, you're like my Jewish little brother. I feel connected to you.' But then when the camera came on, she wasn't having me," he said.

The British TV host confessed that his worst guest was rapper Rick Ross. Apparently, he agreed to do some segments of the show, but then refused to do so.

"We sent the stuff to Rick's people, and Rick had seen it, loved it, and was so excited to do it. Rick Ross came and sat here, and we did the whole thing [...] And Rick goes, 'Cool, I'm just going to go to the restroom.' About 20 minutes later, we just stood there and he hadn’t come back. Then his management person came back and went, 'Yeah, Rick’s not going to do that,'" Corden said.
