Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's plans to bring their children to the UK may be in doubt. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex had hoped to take Prince Archie, seven, and Princess Lilibet, five, to Britain to visit family for the first time since 2022.

According to The Guardian, a source close to Harry said the family's plans to visit loved ones and support charities important to the duke were canceled at the last minute, a decision that came after the British government refused Harry's request for police protection outside royal residences.

According to the same source, “The hope is they can meet their grandfather, but there is no way that can happen if they are chased by paparazzi wherever they go from the moment they step off the plane."

Security remains a key concern for Harry and his family. A palace source said the King has reportedly offered accommodation at a royal residence during their visit, but the offer has yet to be accepted.

Harry and Meghan married on May 19, 2018, in a globally watched royal ceremony at Windsor Castle. Since stepping back from royal duties in 2020, the couple have built a new life in California with their two children.
