Actress Cate Blanchett recently presented her Human Consent Registry to the European Parliament in Brussels, Belgium, this on June 23 at an event hosted by Bulgarian MEP Eva Maydell.
The tool enables individuals to protect their identities against unregulated AI use by registering on the free website and deciding if they allow—with or without terms—or prohibit AI use of their name, image, voice, likeness, and movement, among other personal attributes.
"Your identity is your IP in the age of AI," Blanchett said, "and every person deserves the right to decide how AI can or cannot use it."
Making your devices, online identity, and activities more secure really doesn't take much effort. By implementing a few simple changes, you can maintain security against hackers and any outside parties’ unwanted attempts to access your data. It is vital to protect your privacy from anyone you don’t consent to sharing your information with, especially when cyberattacks have become so common.
