Jason Momoa - 'Conan the Barbarian' (2011) - Jason Momoa is an action movie superstar, particularly since landing the role of Aquaman in the DC movies. However, some of his earlier roles weren't quite as impressive! The 2011 film 'Conan the Barbarian' was a very expensive flop, and more than a decade later, Momoa decided to share his real thoughts about it. "I've been a part of a lot of things that really sucked, and movies where it's out of your hands," he told British GQ. "Conan was one of them. It's one of the best experiences I had and it [was] taken over and turned into a big pile of sh--t."

Stars who regret famous movie roles
Chris Hemsworth makes it clear he isn't happy with the direction Taika Waititi took with Thor
© BrunoPress
Some of the biggest names in Hollywood have spoken negatively about certain roles they played, even in films that were critically acclaimed. From superhero roles, to teenage heartthrobs, and continuing with a long-running franchise, these actors have expressed regret for their famous roles.
There's no doubt that Thor has been a defining role for Chris Hemsworth, and one that has made him an obscene amount of money. That being said, Hemsworth might be reassessing his priorities as he recently announced that he is taking a break from acting and work after discovering he carries genes that give him a heightened risk of developing Alzheimer's. He revealed that he was stepping back to rest and take preventative steps against the disease. The news came a few months after 'Thor: Love and Thunder' was released. The 39-year-old actor shared his true feelings about where the character is going in a recent interview on the 'Happy Sad Confused Podcast,' stating that there would need to be a significant shift in direction if he ever reprises his role. "I think it would have to be a drastically different version in tone, everything, just for my own sanity… [laughs] Thor lost his mind that last one. He’s got to figure it out now."
His comments refer to director Taika Waititi's decision to double down on his humorous approach with his second movie in the franchise, a decision which was not well received by critics or fans. In another interview with Vanity Fair on Nov. 17, Hemsworth shared that he's done working with "mad genius" directors. "Now, if something’s going to pull me away from my family and my kids, it’s got to be a positive, constructive, collaborative experience." Some fans have interpreted this as a comment on Waititi's persona as a director and Hemsworth's dissatisfaction with their work on the most recent 'Thor' movie.
