The benefits of sponsoring an animal
Sponsorship and adoption ideas that help conserve wildlife
© Shutterstock
There are many ways the general public can contribute towards the welfare of the natural world. One of the most popular methods is to symbolically sponsor an animal. Donations made to charities such as the World Wildlife Fund help make a positive impact on conservation. In return, sponsors are rewarded with certificates, gift packs, and regular updates on the animal they've chosen to adopt. In some cases they are even invited to christen the animal they are assisting. Corporate sponsorship generates even greater funds, and can considerably raise the profile of both a company and the charity it's associated with. But while many of the world's most endangered species tend to be those that benefit most from sponsorship (animals such as tigers and orangutans), backyard critters like hedgehogs and squirrels are equally in need of the charity of humans.
So, are you thinking of sponsoring wildlife? Click through and donate some time checking out these sponsorship and adoption ideas.
